Brederwiede Help Desk
From the help desk, five volunteers provide entirely selfless and free support to people who have difficulty submitting applications to the municipality, government, and social services. This includes, among other things, registering for a home and applying for housing allowance and energy allowances.
The help desk works closely with Wetland Wonen Groep, Sociaal Werk de Kop, the Municipality of Steenwijkerland, and ANBO-PCOB. In doing so, it forms a link between residents and agencies and helps people find their way through the various schemes.
In addition, it is possible to receive support with filing your tax return through the tax consultants of the ANBO-PCOB. A small fee is charged for this service.
The volunteers have been involved in elderly care for many years and have been supporting residents of Nieuw Clarenberg for over twenty years. In doing so, they regularly encountered problems regarding the application for various services and subsidies. Based on that experience, the idea arose to provide structural support with this.
The office is located in the conservatory of De Laurier in Nieuw Clarenberg. This space has been made available by Wetland Wonen Groep. Five volunteers staff the office and maintain the initiative. The help desk is open every Thursday morning from 10:00 to 12:00. You can register via the telephone number, even outside opening hours, but walking in is also possible.

The library will help you with digital questions during the digital consultation hour
These days, you can arrange all sorts of things online. This also applies to Wetland Wonen. For example, you can find social housing in your region through the website De Woningzoeker (www.dewoningzoeker.nl). Could you use some digital assistance, or do you know someone who does?
Come by the library. They're happy to help. You don't need to be a library member, and no appointment is necessary. You can simply walk in.
